I took my daughter with me to the SPCA of Westchester on Thursday to photograph some dogs and she was thrilled to find lots of kittens to play with when we got there! She loves all cats and dogs but more than anything she loves kittens because she can hold them and also because they are so damn cute! Here are the kittens:

This is Somers:
Chalupa was a stray who was obviously well cared for so they are hoping his owners will claim him soon and take him home:
Kia is a cutey:
Tessa- an older girl whose owners surrendered her because she needed medical attention. She is on medication and doing great- this is a very sweet girl:
Tonya:
Please contact the SPCA of Westchester for more information about any of these animals. There are more kittens that aren’t photographed here but I am sure they will all go quickly so if you are interested in adopting a kitten call soon!
Last week I visited Adopt-A-Dog in Armonk and met some really amazing new dogs who are up for adoption.
This is Peaches- she is a 9-mo. old puppy and I would love to adopt this dog if I could – just the sweetest dog ever!

I rest my case!
Cammie is a 4 mo. old English Setter:
Foxy Brown is adorable:
Miss Foxy is a Foxy Brown’s buddy and she is some kind of hound/pit mix perhaps. She is a super cute little girl:
Bama is a Cairin Terrier Mix:
Bill is timid but very sweet:
Merlin:
Brian with Lulu- Lulu is a Dutch Sheppherd and a GREAT dog:
Angie has 4 puppies at the shelter about 4 weeks old:
Angies Pups- cute huh?
This is Teddy – a very cool cat hanging in the window:
Hoping all these guys get new families soon!

I often wonder why certain dogs are at a shelter sometimes for years and just keep getting passed over for adoption even though they are really great dogs. Candy is one such dog- she was at Adopt-A-Dog in Armonk for 4 years! She is cute, goofy and sweet and I guess it was just a matter of finding a family that she was a perfect fit with. When I went to the shelter last week to take photos and learned that Candy was adopted to say I was over-joyed would be an understatement!
2 weeks ago when I was at the shelter we took new photos of Candy since her website photos hadn’t been updated in quite a while. I captured a photo of her with her paw up in the air and the new photo caught someone’s eye when they saw it on the Adopt-A-Dog website and they came in to meet her and adopted her! Having good photos really helps get pets adopted and it does help to switch the photos up occasionally as you never know what someone will see in a photo that will attract them to a cat or dog.
Here is the photo of Candy- I really hope she is adjusting to life in her new home _after 4 years in a shelter she really deserves to have a wonderful life with a family who will love and adore her!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Misha’s 2nd Birthday Party. It seems like only yesterday I was shooting her 1st birthday celebration- time really does fly when you have kids! The party was at Kidville in NYC and they did a great job of keeping the kids (and adults) entertained. You might recognize Misha’s dad Gary from his daily wine video blog Daily Grape or from his many tv appearances as both a wine and social media authority. If you are interested in social media and how it is changing the way people do business today then I highly recommend you visit his website or check out his new book The Thank You Economy.
Now on to some photos from the party:

4 Generations- Misha with her mom, grandma and great grandmother:
Music and entertainent by Little Maestros - they did a fantastic job!

Happy birthday Misha and thanks for having me photograph your amazing party!

Last Friday I photographed my first pet fashion show and it was a blast! The fashion was a fundraiser for OPIN (Outreach for Pets in Need of Stamford) and it was a real success. In addition to dogs being fostered by OPIN, there were also a few foster dogs from my favorite Pit Bull Rescue Bully Breed as well as some dogs who came with their owners.
Here are a few photos from the event which took place in Stamford at the club 84 Park West:
Strutts- if you are interested in learning more about Strutts please contact www.opinpets.org
This is Big Murph and he is awesome- please contact www.bullybreedrescueinc.org/
This dog is blind but so sweet – she is also being fostered by OPIN:

Dylan- also a Bully Breed foster- super sweet guy
