Geoff & Amy – Princeton NJ Wedding

I photographed Casey & Jen’s wedding over 6 years ago at the Nassau Inn in Princeton, NJ.   Last month I was thrilled to return to the Nassau Inn to photograph Jen’s sister Amy’s wedding to Geoff.  It was a great day and a great last wedding for 2011 for me.  They are a super nice (and photogenic!) young couple and I wish them the best of luck.  Here are a few photos from the day:

Simone’s Bat Mitzvah

I had a great time with Simone and her family and am so happy they chose me to photograph her Bat Mitzvah.  The party was at the Italian Center in Stamford.  Simone had a fashion theme and my extremely talented and creative colleague Susan Freed of Blue 9 Design did an amazing job designing the party.
Here are some favorites from the day:

Rye Family Portrait- Rye Beach

I just had the pleasure of meeting and photographing a great family from town.  Our kids went to the same pre-school, Rye United Methodist Nursery School, and they won a family session at the schools carnival silent auction over a year ago.  It took a while to schedule it, but i’m glad we finally did.  It was a lot of fun and it was great to shoot at the beach in Rye- it was a beautiful night and it was the perfect spot.

Here are a few photos from our session:

5 Cats in Chappaqua – Westchester NY Pet Photographer

A few months back I donated a pet portrait to Cat Assistance NY’s silent auction at their annual fundraising gala.  I was delighted when I found out that the winners of the portrait session, Brian & Tanya, have 5 cats.  I was looking forward to the challenge of getting photos of 5 cats and after having to reschedule several times due to bad weather, we finally did the shoot a few weeks ago.  It was great to finally meet Brian and Tanya after having spoken to and emailed with them for almost 2 months!  I also really enjoyed meeting all 5 cats, all of whom were rescued from the city shelters (animal care and control of NYC).
Here are just a couple of the photos I picked out for Brian and Tanya:

Walter is the youngest, and newest addition to the family.  He is also the most  mischievous!

This is Orange- the shyest of the group but I managed to get a few good shots.  This is Hilary- she was found on Clinton St. in Brooklyn hence her name.Maley is a sweet cat, he is named after a sculptor who lived on Martha’s Vineyard. Hilary and Walter going at it!

And last but not least, this is M.E. (which stands for missing ears).  She was set on fire by a young boy and as a result she is missing both of her ears.  Luckily she survived and found a wonderful home.  It’s heartbreaking to me how somone could do this to an innocent cat but it happens all too often.  It amazes me how sweet and unafraid she was and how she can be trusting of someone she just met after all she went through.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or in donating and/or volunteering your time to cat rescue- plesase visit Cat Assistance of  NY’s website HERE .  They a great organization and like all pet rescue groups they could really use the help.

Kittens (and Dogs) Available at SPCA of Westchester, Westchester Pet Photographer

I took my daughter with me to the SPCA of Westchester on Thursday to photograph some dogs and she was thrilled to find lots of kittens to play with when we got there!  She loves all cats and dogs but more than anything she loves kittens because she can hold them and also because they are so damn cute!  Here are the kittens:
This is Somers:Chalupa was a stray who was obviously well cared for so they are hoping his owners will claim him soon and take him home:Kia is a cutey:Tessa- an older girl whose owners surrendered her because she needed medical attention.  She is on medication and doing great- this is a very sweet girl: Tonya: Please contact the SPCA of Westchester for more information about any of these animals.  There are more kittens that aren’t photographed here but I am sure they will all go quickly so if you are interested in adopting a kitten call soon!
